Hmmmmm....
This is perhaps my first proper breakfast in years...woke up at 4:30am to drive all the way to Duluth, Minesotta. An unexpected trip on a vacation that I've been looking to relax for some time..not that I've been working excessively, but for some reasons, its been a pretty stressful semester.
But............sitting here in Panera, nice & cool morning, driving to Duluth..12 more hours to go..its got to be fun...
Renita is forcing me to stop feeling nice about the breakfast and get back to driving
So later then...
Cheers

"The name 's Bond, James Bond"..err..I think.
If this is a Bond movie, I'll be more than happy to get back to reading Ian Fleming's novel. For, I'll be more than happy to imagine Bond as spy who gets things done covertly, rather than the way it was shown. I thought Casino Royale got Bond back to his roots, and I was very happy with that. I thought the movie satisfied all the ardent fans of Ian Fleming's Bond. And, if you are a fan of Albert.R.Brocolli's depiction of Bond, then, I'm sure you would think twice before watching Bond 23 in a theatre. I went to the latest Bond flick last night (with high expectations and a lot of excitement) and I must say, I was disappointed. Daniel Craig, I think is the best Bond after Sir Sean Connery. He is the alter ego to my idea of Bond, the way I imagined him to be after reading a few of Ian Flemings novels. Casino Royale showed Bond in a new light; a different Bond. A work that was very well begun. But, Bond film makers seem to be getting back to square one (only, they seem to have chosen a different path). Mark Forster's depiction of Bond emotionally shutting himself down after Vesper's death lacked intensity. If one says, this movie is about Bond getting emotionally mature, I'd say, the story line should have been stronger to portray this aspect. The film makers of Bond 22 have completely misunderstood why Casino Royale was such a big hit. The action sequences weren't shot properly, the plot was wafer thin, the Bond signature "gun barrel shot" at the end of the movie didn't do any good. The dialogues were pretty normal. There was no womanizing and less drinking (two things that define Bond's social life). Too much attention was given to his "inconsolable rage" and his personal vendetta. Bond would certainly have mixed his personal vendetta with his professional responsibility more deftly. If one had to come up with a sequel to Casino Royale, he/she should have done their homework well enough before starting the work on QoS. Nevertheless, I am very eager to watch Bond 23 for the way it will be made. I hope, the script writers for Bond 23 will take a leaf or two from "The Dark Knight" in characterizing the way a villain is supposed to be. For, I want to see a very able villain to trouble Bond, and a Bond who can counter him like "James Bond", but not like someones mispalced perception of Bond's "true identity".

My First Blog ever!!
Finally!!!!!!!!
This has been on my mind for over year now. I've been postponing my blog for no reason as such. It's just that, I've been too lazy to sit down and do something I've always wanted to (sounds odd but its the truth). I have tried to engage myself in some activity or the other barring this. Now that I've broken the shackles I put upon myself, I will certainly keep updating things that influence me and my thoughts. I sincerely hope that I can really put into words all my emotions, my likes, dislikes, interests and disinterests, my stands on issues and my perceptions about things that will have a profound effect on my life. I'll make sure my blogs really show me inside-out.
Cheers
